Godzilla or Jackie Chan were already video game stars in the 8-bit times. Bruno Sol reviews great classics from the legendary NES.
Welcome one more Saturday to Uncle Bruno’s stories, the Hobby Consoles section in which we review great video games of the past! This time, we return to one of our favorite consoles, the Nintendo NES. Its catalog was enormous and was full of cool licenses of the time, as well as its own titles that demonstrated its quality.
In this video, Uncle Bruno tests games like Jackie Chan’s Action Kung Fu, a side action game that had the mega star of cinema and martial arts as the protagonist. What a bigger sprites he had!
Also watch out for the conversion of Toki for the NES, one of the games that caused the most talk in arcades at the beginning of the 90s. How not to mention a monkey with sneakers and a rugby helmet! Here you can read our analysis of the latest version of Toki.
Both games were very good, but for us Life Force, also known as Salamander, one of the best shoot ’em ups that Konami conceived for the 8-bit Nintendo. And how hard was he to beat, the bastard!
In the video that heads this content there is also room for other licenses such as the endearing Popeyea curious game of Godzilla or a complicated platforms of The Flintstonesplus a very interesting rarity from Atlus (yes, the ones from the Persona franchise): Rockin’ Katsa most colorful platforms.
