On his Instagram account, Kollé posted a photo in which she is crowned and wrote the following:
“I DID IT! It’s unreal, but I have to call myself Miss Holland 2023. It was an educational and beautiful journey, my year cannot be broken anymore. I’m so proud and happy that I can’t even describe it. Making my community proud and showing that it can be done…and yes, I am trans and want to share my story. I did this on my own and loved every moment of it.”
Finally, Rikkie will not be the first trans to compete for the Miss Universe title. That place is occupied by the Spanish Ángela Ponce, who in 2018 became Miss Spain and managed to reach the final phase of Miss Universe.
