I have a Yamaha new version of the Ténéré. It’s called World Rally and it celebrates 40 years of the Ténéré with a livery dedicated to the official bikes of the time and with the standard Akrapovic exhaust. In the photos his guide teacher Stephane Peterhansel.
In the 1983 Yamaha’s first Ténéré model makes its debut and immediately enters the heart of enthusiasts. An off-road motorcycle, but also perfect for holidays or for daily commuting. But also one rally motorcycle, which soon established itself in international competitions.
In 2023, 40 years later, the motorcycle that celebrates this anniversary arrives. It’s called Ténéré 700 World Rally and it’s a tribute to the winning Yamahas in the Dakar.
The Tenere 700 World Rally primarily presents exclusive colors that refer to the motorcycles of the 80s and 90s. Also standard is the slip-on silencer Akrapovič and the flat rally saddle finished in black.
The Ténéré 700 World Rally sfrutta the excellent mechanical base of the World Raid, with the double 23-litre tank, the 689 cc CP2 engine and the KYB suspensions with 230 mm of travel for a full weight of 219 kg and a saddle at 890 mm from the ground.
The twin cylinder delivers 74 horsepower at 9,000 rpm with 69 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The declared average consumption is equal to 4.3 liters per 100 kilometres.
The price is equal to 14.399 euro.
