Microsoft has just announced a new feature that many Windows 11 users have been waiting for: the ability to easily monitor resource usage on your computer. As part of the BUILD 2023 conference, the company presented widgets that allow you to track the performance of the CPU, GPU, RAM, network and more.
The widgets are available now through the preview version of the Dev Starter app, available from the Microsoft Store or on GitHub. Once installed, users will be able to add them by simply pressing Win + W or by clicking the “+” button next to each widget.
Although the preview release offers widgets for CPU, GPU, RAM, network, SSH keychain, and tools for GitHub, it is important to note that they have not yet been released in stable phase and may have bugs or issues. Therefore, caution is advised and take backups before using them.
This new feature could be very useful for users who make heavy use of their computer or test software under development that can lead to memory leaks. Although it is not a revolutionary addition, it is undoubtedly a tool that will make life easier for many users.
