Apple has introduced watchOS 10, the new operating system for Apple Watch, which comes with new spheres, redesigned apps, features focused on cycling and hiking, and tools to care for mental health.
Apple has presented the changes that will come to watchOS 10 when it lands in the next few months.
One of the first changes to come to the operating system is the ability to add photos of whatever you like as the home screen and also, by turning the crown, the must-haves of the day, such as meetings you have, the weather, or things relevant to you.
They have also changed and refined some aesthetic elements of the applications so that everything is more homogeneous. For example, in the clock app, the color changes from light blue to dark blue to show the time of day. In applications like healthcare, the same is true for measurements.
The home screen will also have customization spheres that will change in real time depending on weather conditions. For example, if it’s raining, drops will appear on the screen to show you.
One of the applications in those that have focused have been Cycling that arrives with Ant+, so that you can perfectly measure the exercise you do on the bike, the intensity, the pace and any other parameter of interest.
It should be noted that now, the Apple Watch can automatically connect to cycling accessories with Bluetooth, such as power meters, speed sensors and cadence sensors in order to have totally new metrics with which to record your activity.
They have also presented Hiking, perfect for those who go hiking, which will show you elements of altitude, compass, topographic map and many more elements. In addition, an SOS quick access button will also appear in case you have any type of emergency.
There will also be a kind of “personal trainer” that will be able to correct the swing that you make in golf or the movement of the hand that you make in tennis or paddle tennis in order to improve and refine the technique.
Finally, they have also presented Mindfulness, an app focused on mental health that allows you to easily and discreetly record your mood during the day and emotions at certain times. Also, from the crown, you will be able to navigate attractive multidimensional shapes and choose how you feel, indicate what affects you the most and describe your feelings.
