When asked if the fourth season will take a couple of years to release, Rick Famuyiwa acknowledged that the development of a new batch of episodes of the series is quite a challenge. “I mean, we’ll see. We’ll see,” the director admitted about The Mandalorian 4. “I have no idea about the schedule. But putting together these seasons is quite an undertaking and I think because of the way we shoot and how the Stage Craft comes into play… You have to think about a lot of things beforehand, build them up, conceive them in preparation. And you can’t afford to start shooting and say, ‘Okay, we’ll figure it out later.’”
“So that work takes time. It’s a job that has to be done. And obviously all the shows that have been going on, just trying to figure out even just the production space, and how it all fits together, it becomes kind of a puzzle of how to solve it. But I know that Jon Favreau has written the scripts for The Mandalorian 4. I also know that he’s excited about continuing to tell stories in the world of Star Wars. So when and how that happens, obviously taking everything into account, we’ll see.” We will have to wait to find out more details about the fourth season of the Disney + television series.
