The mighty Galactus made his movie debut in the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer movie but his design didn’t satisfy fans.
In 2005 the first big-budget adaptation of Fantastic Four came along and it was quite successful, so in 2007 they made Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer. One of the big draws for the sequel was seeing Galactus, one of Marvel’s most popular cosmic villains. But his design did not like it, because it was just a kind of giant smoke that tried to eat the Earth.
Now, the director of those two films, Tim Story, reveals the hidden origin behind Galactus’s controversial design. Since they asked him if that was the best interpretation for the character on CB.
“Absolutely not. But I have no problem recording what happened at that time. Those in charge were scared of what that might be because, you have to remember, even Marvel has gotten pretty smart and successful at introducing us to superheroes in space, and at the time that was never dealt with. So, like a being from space, there were some in charge who weren’t ready for what could be. And so, you know, that’s not the interpretation that it should have been. But coming soon, there will be some good things.”
Galactus from 2007
The devourer of worlds will return to the cinema.
If all the rumors are true, the new Fantastic Four movie that will be released in 2025 and that will be within the Marvel Cinematic Universe will show us Galactus. In fact, it is speculated that he could be voiced by the Spanish actor Antonio Banderas. But what is clear is that it will be visually impressive. Since, the UCM has already shown us the Celestials, which are beings larger than planets. Although for now we do not have many more details, but supposedly at the San Diego Comic-Con this year they will make a big announcement about it. So we will be very attentive to give you that information.

But what is clear is that this time Galactus will be very different from 2007 and we will see the villain as in the comics.
