The trend of the seven episodes broadcast so far in the open has been downward. Last week, Los pacientes del doctor García garnered its worst audience figure, 460,000 viewers, barely 3.6% of the share.
This has led to RTVE to make the decision to alter the schedule of the series, which will cease to be broadcast in prime time from this very Wednesday, June 7.

The fact that the series came to Netflix in its entirety has been partly to blame for the drop in audiences for Los pacientes del doctor García. Despite not being an original production of the platform, the 10 episodes have been available for weeks, allowing a sector of the audience to advance to the end without having to wait religiously week after week.
This possibility makes it unnecessary to have to “be tied” to the strict schedule of conventional television. Unfortunately, the drop in audience is a problem for viewers who follow the series in the open. The time change radically alters the viewing. Each episode is around an hour long.
