ZeniMax Online Studios e Bethesda Softworks today released the newest chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online saga, The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom. Here is the official trailer:
This new chapter offers more than 30 hours of never-before-seen content and introduces two new zones to explore, a new class, the Arcanist, and a dark untold plot that threatens reality itself. The Necrom Chapter is available now for PC/Mac and will be available on June 20, 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
As the official release reminds us, Necrom continues the story that began with the Scribes of Fate DLC. However, it is not necessary to have completed the previous DLC to experience what this chapter has to offer.
Here are the main features of The Elder Scrolls: Necrom:
Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha
Home to the haughty wizards of House Telvanni and the city of Necrom, the towering mushroom forests of the Telvanni Peninsula may seem familiar to those who have ventured to other parts of Morrowind. This new zone is home to unique experiences for you to discover, including new side quests, world bosses, delve quests, public dungeons, and more.
Necrom also allows you to explore Hermaeus Mora’s realm of Apocrypha. This mysterious part of Oblivion contains nearly unlimited knowledge, yet numerous mortals have lost their souls while exploring its endless libraries. Players will also be able to venture into an entirely new area of Apocrypha: Chroma Incognito. This new zone is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, and like the rest of Apocrypha, it’s home to tons of dangers and secrets to discover.
L’Arcanist
Necrom features one of its most requested features: the new Arcanist playable class. The first new class added to ESO since the Necromancer with the Elsweyr chapter in 2019, the Arcanist wields the forbidden powers of Apocrypha to deal damage, absorb incoming damage, and heal you or your allies.
New challenges, companions and more
The Necrom Chapter also includes a new group challenge, Sanity’s Edge, a 12-player Trial mission coupled with a new world event, Bastion Nymic. Necrom also introduces two new companions, Sharp-as-Night and Azandar Al-Cybiades. Both companions can be recruited, leveled up and equipped in this new chapter, and each offers stories, combat skills and missions to unlock.
