The one who warns is not a traitor. Nothing anticipated the arrival of its second generation model for this coming summer. Instead of an upper-middle-range phone with design as a differentiating factor, the next generation (Nothing Phone 2) will be a high-end phone, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
OnLeaks, through Smartprix, has leaked the supposed design of this terminal. Far from being a great renewal compared to what we saw last generation, the leak points to a fairly similar design line, although with certain key points undergoing a contained evolution.
This is the Nothing Phone (2), according to OnLeaks
Looking at the rear of the Nothing Phone (2), according to the leaked information, little seems to have changed from last year’s model. The source indicates that these renders have been created around the current test unit to which they claim to have had access. This means that there may be minor changes from here to the official launch.
First of all, slightly changes the design of some elements LED of the device, as well as the red LED itself that turned on when we were making a video recording with the Nothing Phone 1.
Nevertheless, the biggest change in this model is in its bezelswhich are no longer flat in the iPhone style to return to the rounded lines that phones had been experiencing for years until the arrival of the iPhone 12. Thus, according to this information, it becomes a more ergonomic and comfortable phone in the hand, with a frame of aluminum and the classic transparent glass back that reveals the LED system.
On the same, the structure is similar, but the design has been divided into even more LEDs. This will allow even more configurations for Nothing’s own notification system, in which the back of the device lights up depending on how we have configured it.
At the level of technical specifications, this first major leak does not shed too much light. We have confirmation from Nothing about the improvement in the processor, also expecting a small evolution on the screen, increasing it in size.
There is still no set date for the launch of this phone. However, with official confirmation from the company that it will be out in the summer and the Phone 1 having launched in early July, everything indicates that we are barely a month away from the launch of this terminal.
