Discover the five accusations against Ezra Miller that endangered The Flash in his day. The film will see the light of a miraculous way.
In recent years, a number of worrying reports have been published about Ezra Miller’s behavior before his appearance as the protagonist of The Flash. While it’s not uncommon for Hollywood stars to attract negative press due to the drama of their personal lives, the DC Extended Universe performer’s controversies included criminal charges and allegations of behavior endangering women and children. This is what led to a lot of outrage on social media. Even to demands that Miller be removed from the Andy Muschietti film before its release.
However, the reality of exactly what happened in all of these stories is unclear due to lack of context or conflicting accounts. It is important to take victims’ allegations seriously, so the lack of clarity surrounding Ezra Miller’s actions should not be taken as total proof of innocence, depriving potential victims of justice. However, The Flash actor should not be found guilty based solely on the allegations. Given that the reality of what happened in many of these cases is complex and cloudy, the logical thing to do is to get informed. And that is why you must know everything that happened in those months. Next, we will try to summarize it as best as possible.
The Flash actor suffocated a person in Iceland
Although the incident is not directly related to the recent bad publicity for Ezra Miller, it is important to understand because it plays a key role in the interpretation of subsequent controversies of The Flash actor. The seven-second video initially appeared on April 6, 2020. Its external context was quite limited. We did not know much about the events leading up to or following the encounter. The other people involved ended up explaining their side of the story. But not before Miller was embroiled in other scandals that included accusations of harassment and assault. That’s what made it easy to assume that the Icelandic video was just part of an actor’s trend.
In 2022, the woman in the video gave additional context to Variety. She said that she initially approached Ezra Miller and in her conversation told him “just so you know, I could beat you in a fight.” So, she told him to meet her outside of her after he replied, “Do you really want to fight?” She claims that “it was just a joke, obviously.” And she says The Flash star didn’t follow her off until one of her friends made fun of them for not wanting to fight. That’s what prompted Miller to follow her, where the video takes place. She says that after the events shown in the video, the actor was screaming “This is what you wanted! This is what you wanted.”
Ezra Miller’s first arrest in Hawaii
Warner Bros. Discovery
Much of Ezra Miller’s current reputation stems from headlines during his time in Hawaii in early 2022. During this time, The Flash actor was arrested up to two times. Miller’s first arrest in Hawaii took place on March 28, 2022 in Hilo. According to a press release from the Hawaii Police Department, the star became agitated while other patrons were singing karaoke and began yelling obscenities. Later, she snatched the microphone from a woman who was singing and later pounced on a man who was playing darts. Following the incident, Miller was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.
Body camera footage of the arrest revealed a bit more context, including words from Ezra Miller and another client. None were included in the police report. In the footage, The Flash actor, who is of Jewish origin, says the man assaulted him and “declared himself a Nazi.” The man he refers to appears asking the police “if you don’t light them, I’ll light them”. The Hollywood star was arrested and released after posting $500 bail. Miller pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct charge, harassment charge dropped.

Warner Bros. Pictures
The second arrest of Ezra Miller in Hawaii it came three weeks later, on April 19, 2022. According to a Hawaii Police Department press release, police responded to a report of assault at a “gathering at a private residence” in Puna. In the broadcast audio of the 911 call that led to the event, the caller says- “I have The Flash actor at my house right now. We have offered him our home and he has entered it. He is threatening us. He has hit me on the head with a chair”.
When asked if he needs medical attention, the caller says “no, I don’t need medical attention, I need the police here now.” According to HPD, “Ezra Miller was arrested for second degree assault after being located in the roadway during a traffic stop.” But he was later released without charge. The April 2022 report says an investigation is pending, but there have been no additional updates following the release of The Flash star.
The strange accusations of children in Vermont
Warner Bros. Pictures
A June 2022 Rolling Stone report included additional claims about Ezra Miller. Those allegations alleged that The Flash actor was housing a woman and her children in an “unsafe environment.”. The report cites the boys’ father and at least one other source alleging that there were “unattended guns scattered around the house” and that one of the boys “allegedly picked up a loose bullet and put it in his mouth.” This report also cites the mother of the children. The mother claims that Miller helped her escape from a “violent and abusive ex” and “helped me finally have a safe environment for my three very young children.” She denies that the children were exposed to firearms.
According to the article, Hawaii court records show a long history of legal disputes between the two parents, including a domestic abuse case and a paternity case against the father. The father denies the domestic abuse charges and the case was dropped when neither party appeared in court and the paternity case was “put on hold last October because the father had not been notified.” The father called the Vermont Department for Children and Families to do a wellness check on the children and they reported that the children “looked fine” after visiting the farm. No charges have been filed against Ezra Miller in connection with this incident that hit post-production hard on The Flash.

Warner Bros. Pictures
Ezra Miller was also accused by two parents, Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle. Notable members of the Oglala Sioux tribe, of seducing his daughter, Tokata Iron Eyes. The Flash actor met the family during his participation in the protests against the Dakota Access pipeline. Tokata denied the allegations and criticized his father’s claims.calling him a “transphobe” and saying that he was subjected to severe “emotional and psychological manipulation that they made me endure while I was at my parents’ house.”
Tokata’s parents created an email account to ask other people for more complaints against Ezra Miller. They used a hashtag on social media and filed for a protective order against The Flash actor on Tokata’s behalf. Since Tokata is over 18 years old, his parents needed to apply to the court for conservatorship in order to have legal authority to apply for the restraining order without his consent. According to a Vanity Fair article, the tribal court issued a temporary order. But he dismissed their petition to make it permanent, and the parents withdrew their petition for guardianship.
The crimes of robbery of the star of The Flash in Vermont
Warner Bros. Pictures
In August 2022, Vermont State Police charged Ezra Miller with felony robbery. According to a VSP press release, The Flash actor stole “several bottles of alcohol” from a neighbor’s home and an investigation of surveillance video gave VSP probable cause to charge him with the crime. The report indicated that Isaac B. Winokur was the victim. Winokur was a co-founder of the American Opera Company, where the actor’s mother, Marta Miller, sits on the board of directors. Miller also credited Winokur for his role in helping them prepare to play Barry Allen in Justice League (2017). She said it in an interview with Geek Culture from six years ago.
In January 2023, Ezra Miller pleaded guilty to misdemeanor trespass as part of a plea deal and paid a $500 fine. He was placed on one year of administrative probation. Superior Court Judge Kerry A. McDonald-Cady said that “the conditions are on mental health, substance-free living and no contact with Mr. Winokur.” Vermont Assistant State Attorney Alexander Burke said The Flash actor’s victim Winokur “supports this resolution. He protects his interest in privacy without having to go through with the trial. Just as he ensures the continuation of mental health treatment for the defendant”.
