Marvel Reveals Superior Spider-Man Will Have A New Story
Dan Castle will write a new Superior Spider-Man story.
The return of one of the most popular versions of Spider-Man
The return of the superior version of the spider superhero was announced on the official Spider-Man Twitter account. Writer Dan Slott will helm the new story due out in the fall of 2023. The tweet reads as follows: “This fall, Dan Slott will return to the smartest, strongest, and superior wall-crawler in Superior Spider-Man. More information available soon.”
The character’s first series was written by Slott and ran for more than 30 issues between 2013 and 2014. The story follows Doctor Octopus/Otto Octaviuswho changes body with Peter Parker before dying from terminal cancer. With Peter’s powers, Otto became a higher version of the hero. In 2018, Marvel premiered another Superior Spider-Man series that was helmed by the writer Christos Gage and the artist Mike Hawthornebut ended with number 12 at the end of 2019.
