A victory at the photo finish for a new Ducati triumph.
Pecco Bagnaia takes the Mugello Sprint Race by beating Marco Bezzecchi who undermined him up to the final straight. The victory that opens the weekend of the Italian Grand Prix allows him to reach 106 points in the general MotoGP standings, +4 behind Bezzecchi second at 102. Third comes Jorge Martin, on Ducati like the first five at the finish line. Only seventh Marc Marquez on Honda.
Race conditioned by a few drops of rain, which also did not affect the performance of the official Ducatis. Those who pay for the difficult conditions of the circuit are Martin (temporarily first and then forced to make a mistake) and above all Marc Marquez. Second at the start and back from the qualifying controversy, the Catalan lost a few positions on the third lap and managed to recover only one later in the race.
