Nintendo does it again: it launches a fun and chaotic new mode in Splatoon 3 the Event Battles, but extremely limited: it can only be played on specific days and in two-hour slots.
Splatoon 3 A new season opens from June 1, the Scorching Season, with a new Catalog (the equivalent of the season pass, all free, yes), two new maps (one of them from previous games), new weapons…
Most exciting for players of the Nintendo Switch squid shooter, however, is the mode. Combat Eventan all-new game mode with combat with special and chaotic modifiers.
Sounds good? Of course. But if you want to participate in this Splatoon 3 mode that freshens things up a bit, you’re going to have to pull out the calendar, because it’s extremely limited.
How to play Event Battles in Splatoon 3
Event Combat matches can be in any of the modes already existing in the game (Territorial, Tower, Goldfish, Pintazones…) but with modifiers: everyone comes out with the same type of weapon, they jump more, there is fog…
To play these games, you must access from the Lobby, just as if you were going to play a normal game. In the menu where you choose Friendly Combat, Chaotic Formal or Casual, a new Event Combat tab will appear.
The problem is that they are limited: they will only be on specific days, and during three two-hour slots.
We do not know the cadence that these types of games will have. For now, the first two days of the event have been confirmed, Saturday 3 and Tuesday 6 June. Schedules are seen in-game and will be announced on the official game account (at least, the official one in English).
These are the first confirmed events, with schedules posted CEST format (Spanish peninsular time):
Saturday June 3 – Territorial: Season Opening Challenge
This mode highlights the two new maps of the season (Halibut Mall and Shark Track). In territorial combat, only the main enhancers are valid, the secondary ones have no effect. In chaotic combat style, there is no limitation of power-ups.

Tuesday June 6 – Torre: Contest of the triple tintazuca
In this mode, you can only use weapons that carry the triple inkzook as a special weapon, which will fill up on its own very quickly. Only main power-ups are worth.
June 6: 4:00 – 6:00 June 6: 12:00 – 14:00 June 6: 20:00 – 22:00
