An exciting rumor was making the rounds about Spider-Verse 3. However, the plans for the animated franchise are not exactly what we thought.
They have denied the exciting rumor of Spider-Verse 3. After the premiere of Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse, producer Chris Miller attended the social networks to respond to a rumor that had all the fans in suspense. That rumor revolved around the possible duration of Beyond the Spider-Verse, the third installment of the Spider-Man and Marvel Entertainment animated franchise that will be released next year. At the moment, many details about the film are unknown. Official at least. Because of course a lot of rumors are coming out since the release of the sequel in theaters.

In response to a rumor from The Cosmic Circus that Spider-Verse 3 would be longer than Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse, Chris Miller made it clear that there are currently no set parameters for how long the third installment has to be.. “No,” said the producer and filmmaker about the rumors spread by The Cosmic Circus. “The final duration will end up being the one that works best for the story. There are no intentions of duration”. Therefore, what they said about the duration of Beyond the Spider-Verse is completely ruled out. We will have to keep waiting to know more.

In case Spider-Verse 3 lasts longer than its predecessor, would break the record for the longest animated film produced by an American studio. Currently, that record is held by Consuming Spirits (2012) and Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse (2023). Both films have extensive footage of 2 hours and 16 minutes. However, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse could end up exceeding that figure. And therefore it would become the longest animated film in Hollywood history. An important detail to take into account for the coming years. Above all because it would set or could set a very significant precedent in the seventh art industry.
