According to Variety, Amy Pascal, producer of the Spider-Verse, Sony is already working on new projects based on Marvel’s arachnid superhero. One of them is a live-action feature film that will revolve around Miles Morales, a character who has already starred in his own video game and 2 animated films.
Details about the project remain scarce, so the plot and the cast that will participate are unknown. Therefore, fans are wondering who will be the actor who will assume the role of the protagonist.

Although it seems that we will have to wait a long time to find out new official information about the film, a famous Mexican actor with a very solid professional career has already expressed his interest in playing Miles Morales. That’s right, we’re talking about Benny Emmanuel.
In case you don’t know, Benny Emmanuel is an actor who rose to fame thanks to his role in the youth series La CQ on Televisa. Since then, he has demonstrated his talent and acting range in important film and television projects such as Sin Nombre, Cosas Imposibles, Chicuarotes, El Sueño de Ayer and many more.

Benny Emmanuel wants to be Morales Morales’ Spider-Man
In an interview with Gaby Meza from Fuera de Foco, the 26-year-old actor reaffirmed his interest in playing Miles Morales in a film production. Of course, he assures that he would like to give life to a character with powers, even if he is not the arachnid superhero.
“Since the time I just tweeted ‘I do.’ Right there there was already a real approach from my manager of ‘hey, I saw this, is it happening?’ and I: ‘well, it’s not happening because you don’t want to’. But there is an insistence on this in any casting or things that come. Because besides, I really want to make a movie or a character that has to do with powers or something like that. In general, you know? If it’s Miles (it would be) amazing, but if not, I definitely want to play that too. And I’m very aware of that, castings and anything,” said the Mexican artist.
Certainly, it is not the first time that Benny Emmanuel has expressed interest in giving life to Miles Morales in a project. In 2021, he stated that he hoped Marvel would announce the casting for that version of Spider-Man, possibly in hopes of being able to participate.
In the interview with Gaby Meza from the Fuera de Foco channel, the actor commented that Magnneto, Nightcrawler and Batman are his favorite comic book characters. Mind you, it’s worth noting that this conversation took place before Sony confirmed plans to make a Miles Morales movie.
