With the success of the animated version in movies and video games, Sony wants to take Miles Morales to the next level.
This Friday we will have Miles Morales back on the big screen through Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse. The new one movie of the wall-crawler promises new doses of multiversal action and tough challenges for the character he voices Shameik Moore.
Despite being an iteration of Spider-Man that is just over 10 years old in the comics, Miles Morales has become a benchmark for Marvel in movies and video games. Spider-Man: A New Universe was an explosion in popularity that hasn’t abated yet.

Naturally, in Sony Pictures they want to make the most of that vein, which means taking Miles Morales to the next step in terms of adaptations: real action.
And it seems that the studio already has that plan in motion for Miles Morales to return to the big screen after the animated trilogy, but this time with a real-life actor embodying him on camera.
Miles Morales is ready for “live-action”
Last Tuesday, during the premiere of Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse, Amy Pascal chatted for a few moments with Variety. The former president of the board of directors of Sony Pictures was short on words, but she hinted that, in addition to the announced movie of Spider-Womana “live-action” of Miles Morales is in the oven.
Obviously, Pascal was very careful to offer any kind of detail, including the status of the scripts – although the strike will have ruined everything – or the actors who are being considered to play the Marvel character.
Spider-Man: No Way Home already left the door ajar for the arrival of Miles Morales with a comment that, fleetingly, made us think that it would be in the movie that brought the three together Peter Parker where Miles Morales would appear in real action.
It was not the case, but Sony took note and has that live action movie underway that can be a success if the animated trilogy that continues tomorrow concludes in 2024 maintaining the level.
