The player of Sandy Walsh descent is very happy that he will finally make his international debut with the Indonesian national team in his grandfather’s hometown in Surabaya ahead of the FIFA Matchday against Palestine.
“I’m happy to be here, especially since Surabaya is my grandfather’s hometown. I also want to thank the chairman for my debut in Surabaya,” said Walsh after undergoing a training camp at Surabaya’s Thor Field, Monday night.
In addition, the owner’s full name Sandy Henny Walsh said the two matches against Palestine and Argentina were very important for the team and he would work hard to give his best.
“I am very happy to attend the training camp before two very important matches, this is a valuable opportunity, every day I will train hard,” said the winger who was born in March 1995.

During the training camp with the team, he only practiced lightly to restore his condition after a long journey.
“I’ve been on the road for 21 hours, and I’m currently doing some light work, short passes, light games, and a few runs to get ready for the next practice,” he says.
Sandy hopes that his first debut with the Indonesian national team can present a satisfying match for Indonesian football fans.
“I will try to present a good match for fans and all Indonesian supporters,” he said.
Meanwhile, Indonesian national team defender Andy Seto is also happy to still be trusted by coach Shin Tae-yong to undergo a training camp ahead of FIFA Match day.

“I certainly feel very happy because on this occasion Coach Shin is still trusted to take part in this TC,” he said.
In addition, to repay Coach Shin’s trust, the player from Pati, Central Java will present his best game against Palestine and Argentina.
“Ahead of the matches against Palestine and Argentina, hopefully we can show our best for Indonesia and certainly want to present victory for Indonesia,” said the player from the Persikabo club.
In the inaugural training camp in Surabaya, apart from Sandy Walsh, there were also two players who had just been naturalized, namely Ivar Jenner and Rafael Struick.
