The three-time Oscar nominee is best known for her roles in blockbuster film franchises like Alien and Avatar. However, Sigourney Weaver has garnered just as much success on the small screen over the years. Although much of that success has gone unnoticed by the mass public. She has received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her performances in the miniseries Snow White (1997), Prayers for Bobby (2009) and Political Animals (2012).
Now, Sigourney Weaver returns to the small screen for another miniseries titled The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. A television series for which Amazon Prime Video has just released the first trailer. The trailer offers the first look at the upcoming television miniseries, which follows protagonist Alice Hart who, after losing her parents in a mysterious fire, is taken to live with her grandmother June on a flower farm in Australia. It is there that she discovers a series of shocking secrets about her family’s past.
What can we expect from ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’?
Led by Sigourney Weaver and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Fear of the Walking Dead), The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart cast also includes Alyla Browne, Asher Keddie, Leah Purcell, Frankie Adams, Alexander England, Charlie Vickers, Tilda Cobham- Hervey, Sebastian Zurita, and Shareena Clanton. The Amazon Prime Video series is based on the novel of the same name by Australian author Holly Ringland and was adapted for the screen by Sarah Lambert, from Lambs of God (2019). All seven episodes were directed by Glendyn Ivin, one of Australia’s foremost directors.
