It is known, in a hadith Rasulullah SAW set an example for his people to be protected from nightmares. The hadith reads as follows:
“If one of you has a dream that he likes, it means it is from Allah and he should say hamdalah because of it and tell about it. But if he has a dream that he doesn’t like, it means it is from Satan, then he should protect himself from his evil and do not tell anyone about it, undoubtedly it won’t be bad for him.” (Narrated by Imam Bukhari)

Prayer Group For No Bad Dreams
1. Prayer to have a good dream
Allahumma arinal haqqa haqqaw warzuqnat tibaa’ah, wa arinal baathila baathilaw warzuqnaj tinaabah.
Meaning: “O Allah, show us that what is right is right. And give us a way to follow it. And show us that what is wrong is wrong and give us a way to avoid it.” (Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Sunni)
2. Prayer after having a good dream

Alhamdulillahi rabbil aalamiin
Meaning: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe. (HR. Bukhari and Muslim).
3. Prayer when you get a bad dream
May Allah make us safe from the devil and the devil.
Meaning: “O Allah, I truly seek Your protection from the behavior of the devil and from bad behavior. (HR. Hakim and Nasa’i from Aisyah).
Reciting a prayer to prevent nightmares is recommended for Muslims. In addition, it is also recommended to practice the habit of Rasulullah SWT before going to bed. The practices are as follows:
– Ablution
– Raise both palms like a prayer position, then blow while reading Surah Al Ikhlas, Al Falaq and An-Naas. Then, both hands rubbed from the head and face. Do this three times.
– Reading Ayat Kursi
– Read Subhanallah (33x), Alhamdulillah (33x) and Allahuakbar (34x).
– Read verses 285-296 of Surat Al Baqarah
– Put your right hand on the lower right cheek with your body tilted towards the Qibla, then read the prayers mentioned above
