Funko takes advantage of the anniversary of the third Star Wars movie to launch its new line of figures, which includes Endor’s most idolized protocol droid.
A few days ago, the 40th anniversary of the original premiere of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, the closing of the classic trilogy of Star Wars. The saga created by George Lucas was still getting going, but figures like C-3PO, R2-D2, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa of Darth Vader they were already pop culture phenomena.

But before our Star Wars heroes could take on the Empire, they had to convince the Ewoks that they weren’t the enemy. Luckily they took the deity of the natives with them. Wickett and company soon paid homage to their god: C-3PO.
They even prepared a throne for him so that he could witness the “feast” that was going to take place with Luke Skywalker and the others; decked out with poor Chewbacca’s singed hair.
Funko Returns C-3PO to His Star Wars Throne
Taking advantage of the anniversary of the third film in the saga, Funko is releasing new commemorative figures of Return of the Jedi, including dioramas of the Jabba’s Palace or the final confrontation between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
He has also dedicated a figure to C-3PO, who gets into trouble every time he gets separated from R2-D2. The new figure depicts the scene where the Ewoks mistake him for a god and seat him on his lustrous throne.
Every detail, including the leg Damaged, it recreates the mythical sequence of Return of the Jedi that preceded the unusual alliance —powers of the Force through— that would see the end of the Second Death Star.
