It was shortly after last year’s edition began when it was confirmed that Gamescom 2023 will take place from August 23 to 27 in Cologne, Germany. The largest video game fair on European soil has a gala full of announcements known as Opening Night Live, although it is a fair focused on fans rather than the press, which is why millions of gamers attend every year from all over the world. While Nintendo announced its long-awaited return to Gamescom 2023, German outlet GamesMarkt reveals that PlayStation will not be part of the fair after a company statement skips the event in a way it already did last year.
