Persija Jakarta welcomes foreign players in preparation for the 2023/2024 League 1 competition.
He is a defender from the Czech Republic, Ondrej Kudela, who has returned to regular training at Nirwana Park, Bojongsari. The former Slavia Prague player was seen joining on Wednesday (31/5) after arriving in Jakarta the day before.
Ondrej Kudela had become a topic of conversation after several times shutting down Cristiano Raonaldo’s movements when the Czech national team faced Portugal in League A Group 2 of the 2022-2023 UEFA Nations League.
Previously, the player who played as a center back had spent more than a month on vacation after completing his first season with the Kemayoran Tigers.

“It’s nice to be back in training. Everything was fine during the holidays. What is certain is that I miss everyone here,” Kudela said as quoted from the official website of PT LIB, Saturday (3/6/2023).
Meanwhile, Kudela just received the 2022/2023 BRI Liga 1 Best XI trophy when he arrived at the training ground. Instead of receiving the trophy, Kudela wanted to dedicate the trophy to all Persija defenders. According to him, he was awarded the Best XI last season thanks to the cooperation of his fellow defenders.
“I’m grateful to be able to get the award (Best XI) last season. But it’s all because of the hard work of the defenders. I want to take a photo with everyone, but Muhammad Ferarri isn’t here yet,” said Kudela.
Now in his second season, Kudela is looking steadily at the 2023/2024 season with Persija Jakarta. “Let’s fight together again this season. I will give my best,” said Ondrej Kudela.
