You may be sick of reading it, but we’ll say it one more time: Red Dead Redemption II is a blast, and it’s been proving that it hasn’t stopped since it launched in 2018. It’s amazing that in 2023, players with more than 1500 hours played they can still be surprised during their adventures in the wild west.
Reddit user u/didihearathunder shared a post with a video showing a very adorable detail y extremely rare. Animals aren’t the only ones who lead secret lives, as human NPCs do too. The clip shows how a farmer leaves his farm with a car to go do his chores and waits for his faithful dog friend get on before starting the march.
“Over 1500 hours and I’m still finding new details,” he says didihearathunder in the post title. “Adoraaaaable, it’s the first time I’ve seen a dog get into a car like that. And he also gets very comfortable, hahaha, I love the details of this game,” he replies TastyBirds. Others are surprised and add their experiences, and some dream of this level of detail in GTA VI.
It seems something small and trivial, it is not. It is very likely that the dog will get off when they reach the destination and he will repeat himself in reverse to return to the farm… as long as he is not intercepted by some world event like an ambush. And we know, from other cases seen, that he would defend his friend to the death.
This is another proof that the level of detail of Red Dead Redemption II y Red Dead Online it goes much further than the horse’s eggs shrinking in the cold. We are talking about a video game whose NPCs (humans and animals) have complex lives beyond our interaction… and that 5 years later are still surprising veteran players.
