The Roma coach had used very heavy words towards the referee of the final against Sevilla
It was in the air, now it’s official. UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against José Mourinho for using offensive language and insults against a match official. In the specific case of Anthony Taylor, the referee of Wednesday night’s Europa League final between Sevilla and Rome. The coach risks a very heavy disqualification. At the end of the match, in fact, Mou had used these terms towards the English whistle: “He looked Spanish, he wasn’t even ashamed when he gave the penalty which was then taken away from the Var. Let’s hope he makes the Champions League next year, so his bullshit he will do all there”.

Mou, then, had also insisted in the garage of the Puskas Arena tunnel, when upon the arrival of the referee trio at the bus that was supposed to take her away, she addressed Taylor in English: “You’re a fucking disgrace man”, ” You’re a fucking disgrace.” To then add: “Don’t even feel ashamed on your faces. Congratulations, also to the Var. Even Rosetti was able to say that it wasn’t a penalty and you weren’t”, referring to the penalty first given and then removed for an alleged foul by Ibanez on Ocampos. UEFA has thus decided to open a disciplinary measure against the Roma coach based on article 15 of its disciplinary regulation. At the same time, for the art. 55 of the same regulation, another proceeding has been initiated which sees Sevilla accused of pitch invasion, ignition of pyrotechnic material, throwing of objects and team misconduct. For Roma, however, the charges are of throwing objects, lighting pyrotechnics, acts of vandalism and disturbance and non-regulatory behavior by the players. As reported by the UEFA device, the ethical and disciplinary control body will decide on the sanctions at the appropriate time. Probably at the meeting next week.
