After a long recovery, Bastianini is ready to get back on track
Finally on track. After almost three months in the pits (76 days to be exact) due to the well-known injury caused by a fractured right scapula (Portuguese GP), Bastianini is ready to be a protagonist at Mugello. The Ducati rider has admitted that he has had to live with difficult moments but, now, he can’t wait to prove his worth in the race.
“Good. I’m fit, maybe not 100% yet, my shoulder isn’t yet as strong as the left. I didn’t want to do the test on Wednesday before coming here, I want to find out by getting on the track”, his clear words to the Gazzetta dello Sport. A joke also on Sunday’s race: “Staying in the top ten under normal conditions wouldn’t be my goal, but here it could become so. And in the current MotoGP, succeeding after being stationary for a long time isn’t so easy.”
