Scarperia – Ducati is very fast, it’s clearly the most competitive: that’s a fact. But if to win It’s always the same – at least in the sprint – it means that it’s the most strong of all. This is also a fact.
Francis Bagnaia brings home another significant success, at the end of an almost “delusional” in the former two, three roundscon contacts, knocks, fallsbrake with four motorcycles paired.
At the first corner, Alex Marquez pays the price, crashing after a contact with Brad Binder, then punished with a sincerely inconceivable Long Lap Penalty: Binder couldn’t do anything, he couldn’t disappear, he didn’t do anything crazy. Yet he was punished. Go on like this.
Then there was hard revenue of: Jack Miller on Marc Marquez, demoted from fourth to seventh position; of Marco Bezzecchi in the group, but also of other riders. In front of Jorge Martin, but then he also started to fall a few drops of rain: Martin went a little wide at San Donato and immediately got past Bagnaia, with Bezzecchi second on the following lap. “Pecco is administeringyou keep a little leeway, Marco seems to have a little more” is the analysis of new legend Andrea Dovizioso on Sky to comment on the race.
Dovi is right, Bez gets close, but never manages to get behind a tenth. For tomorrow’s match, Bagnaia seems to have further margin to administer in the long run, but he will still have to play for it.
To complete the podium, a good Martin who battled it out to the finish line with his teammate Johann Zarco, who was a bit slow as always in the first laps: he was seventh after the start. Fifth place for Luca Marini, with one hand not at its best: the VR46 team overall obtains another prestigious result.
Bastianini, welcome back
Ninth position for Enea Bastianini, in fact his own first race season: in the final stages he lost a couple of positions, tomorrow he will probably struggle even more, but he showed that he is always fast. His race was certainly convincing.
Miller/Marquez below expectations
It was expected more from Jack Millerespecially after passing third on the second lap, instead the KTM rider got lost between counters and braking too aggressive: he finished sixth ahead of Marc Marquez, certainly penalized by the fairing taken, but also clearly less in place than at Le Mans.
Here he has always struggled even in his golden days, with this Honda he inevitably struggles even more. Try to put us a piece, but he doesn’t work miracles anymore either. Fallen and injured Alex Rins, to the medical center for checkups.
What an ugly Aprilia
The disappointment is the Apriliaoctave with Aleix Espargaro and 13th with Maverick Vinales, somewhat disconcerting in its performance. All in all, Miguel Oliveira’s 12th place, on his return to the bike after the injury, was not bad: on the eve, the forecast was that he would only compete in P1, instead it’s a lot to see him under the checkered flag.
Yamaha very far
Fabio Quartararo he tried to take advantage of the chaotic situation in the first laps and the few drops of rain: he climbed up to tenth position. He can’t do more, with Franco Morbidelli 16th. Unfortunately, the same words are repeated over and over again.
