Scarperia – In the three weeks off one of the most interesting things happened guard Marc Marquez and what was said about his future of Jorge Lorenzo. With regard to 2025, the former MotoGP rider said that the 93 “will accept an offer from Ducatiwhich will not satisfy him”.
Marquez was shown during the Thursday press conference at Mugello Lorenzo’s video and he was asked a comment.
“Lorenzo was a great rider, let’s see how he manages to foresee the future (he laughs, ed). Seriously, for next year I have a contract with Honda and I’m totally committed to them. It will always be my plan A but I will always aim for a winning project, no matter the colors, or the name or where”.
On Dovizioso named Legend…
“I’m happy that Andrea is a Legend, he was one of my biggest rivals, I learned a lot from him and his mentality, we had great battles with Dovi”
On his condition…
“I know that the years go by. I’m doing my best. I had surgery on my arm for the fourth time to regain the best physical level. Now I’m here and I’m ready to fight for the championship”
Still on Honda and the future…
“Honda has always been my first priority, and always will be. When I signed with Honda in 2019, that year we finished on the podium in every race except one in Austin. I still totally believe in Honda”
On the present…
“We are going through a difficult moment, we have to make a lot of progress to reach the level of our rivals, but despite this we were there at Le Mans, this is positive. Look at the results of the other Honda riders… I look my way and try to give 100%”
Marquez put on a show at Le Mans…
“I had a lot of fun at Le Mans during the weekend and the race. It was much better than I expected, I took a lot of risks. At the end of the race, the limit was more my physical condition than the bike. I was exhausted, I had a little arm pumping but I forgot and carried on but when you don’t ride a MotoGP well a little mistake can happen, which is what happened to me. But I feel like I’m in a really good time. Physically I’m back to the my highest level, like in Portimão”
About the goals…
“Obviously the goal is not to be in the top 10 but to be closer to the top. There are eight Ducatis and two Aprilias that are very, very fast and ridden very, very well. We will do our best, like at Le Mans: try to understand our position and work from the first session to the race”
