The Ducati rider said he was confident in his full recovery after breaking his right scapula

Scarperia – It is a Aeneas Bastianini more serene than the one seen in Jerez, who was tense and unsure of being able to race, in fact he didn’t make it.
But now the situation is different and Bastianini is almost recovered…
”I feel pretty fit even though I know I’m not 100%. I know that I will be able to ride quite relaxed knowing that I can achieve certain results, even if I don’t have a goal. I came to do my best, I will try to get the best of my possibilities”
On the Italian GP…
“This is an important race, I’ve always enjoyed it very much, I’ve never achieved great results, but let’s see… I hope to come away from here on Sunday after the race with good sensations after my shoulder problem”
On his physical condition…
“I’ve been working every day for three months to overcome this difficulty. It would be a great satisfaction for me and for all those who helped me at home to solve this problem if I had good answers. I will miss strength in practice and in competition but unfortunately also training. For a month and a half I wasn’t able to do anything, I was in pain everywhere, in the last two weeks I started pushing hard and I’ll have to see how my shoulder will do physically too, but I’m confident”
Still on Mugello…
”Racing here is always beautiful, obviously my friends will come to visit me and I hope it will be a good comeback for everyone”
On post-injury recovery…
“After the weekend in Portimao, I was initially angry, I thought I’d be in better shape at Jerez, but unfortunately after the first practice sessions, I knew it would all end sooner, despite having tried to grit my teeth. The pain, however, was too strong, then we further checks but the scapula still wasn’t consolidated. I went back, had to resume, do even more physical therapy, and now in the last few days I’m back to being at the level I wanted to be and maybe even better. Physically this track will take me a while ‘ in crisis but not so much at shoulder level because there aren’t any demanding braking points”
What did you understand by watching the Sprint races from home?
“The sprint race? It was interesting to see things from the outside because you understand the dynamics a little better. I would have preferred to be in it but at the same time I understood some things. It’s hard to give your all for twelve laps without thinking about fuel consumption or other things. It’s almost more of a qualifying than a race”
