Through Variety we meet JD, a lifelong fan who has been obsessed with the James Cameron film since he was 6 years old when the film was released in 1997.

The movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet he became a pillar in his life, encouraged by his family, who also dazzled James Cameron with his “Romeo and Juliet aboard the most famous sunken ship in the world”.
However, JD decided to take his passion for Titanic to a whole new level over a decade ago, when he began collecting VHS copies of the film.
More than 1,500 Titanic VHS tapes
Now, thanks to the power of TikTok, JD (Titanicfan97) has reached out to many other fans of the James Cameron film and has turned his “humble” collection of just over a hundred copies into a growing video library that already adds about 1,560 copies of Titanic on VHSaccording to his own account.
Many fans send him copies and he improvises umboxing on TikTok. His carcass has a very cool vibe that makes us almost want to send him one too.
They also send you fanart and creations with the faces of the characters from Leonardo DiCraprio y Kate Winslet to decorate his old video editing room, now converted into a shrine to the film that won eleven Oscars.
There are those who see the same movie in the theater hundreds of times to reach Guinness records, but JD has taken his love for Titanic to new levels that have invaded his properties, while making him enjoy a passion that does not subside even with a iceberg.
