JAKARTA – There are five powerful countries that have ever colonized Republic of Indonesia (RI). Over time, the strength of 3 of the five countries is now far below RI.
The five countries that once colonized Indonesia were the Netherlands, Japan, England, Portugal and Spain. Of the five countries, four of them are NATO members (Netherlands, Britain, Portugal and Spain).
