Although the opinions on the PlayStation Showcase they were conflicting, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 had an impressive gaming debut. He introduced Kraven and Lizard as new antagonists, showed off Spider-Man’s symbiote suit, new gadgets and abilities, and more. There is a fear that Insomniac Games Showed too much too soon?
Actor Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Peter Parker, thinks otherwise: “You’ve seen the gameplay down. Some of you have said, “Ah, they showed too much!”. I assure you… You haven’t seen anything yet. It’s… Yeah, we’ve barely scratched the surface – it’s just the ‘Thwip! of the Spider-Berg’, if I may say so,” he told IGN.
Insomniac has already clarified that the gameplay revealed is not from the final release, which means that it could be even better graphically. As far as the story and epic settings players can look forward to, time will tell, so stay tuned.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released in the fall of 2023, exclusively for PS5. The developer said it will soon reveal the release date and other information, such as the ability for fans to pre-order and accessibility features.
