Social media activist Yusuf Muhammad highlighted the results of the Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) survey which showed the level of public liking for Anies Baswedan was decreasing.
Not only that, Anies’ electability also decreased to 19.2 percent. Seeing these results, Yusuf suspects that this was used as a reason for the emergence of the narrative of Anies’ tripping.
“Maybe this is the reason why the ‘Anies Dijegal’ narrative emerged which was played by TSM by political elites and opposition buzzers. The Coalition for Change seems to be panicking because the presidential candidate survey continues to drop,” said Yusuf, quoted by Suara Liberte from his personal Twitter account on Tuesday (6/6/2023).
Not only that, the issue of the vice presidential candidate accompanying Anies is also suspected to be one of the causes because at least two figures have refused, namely Mahfud MD and Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

Meanwhile, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Ahmad Heryawan, who were proposed to be Anies’ companions, were deemed to lack the effect of tailcoats.
“Moreover, Mahfud MD has also refused to become Abas’ vice presidential candidate. Reportedly Khofifah also refused. Whereas Aher from PKS and AHY from Democrats actually really wanted to become cawares, but unfortunately the coattail effect was too small. It doesn’t matter,” said Yusuf.
