In a move to bring more convenience and payment options to its customers, Lidl has established a strategic alliance with Bizumthe popular mobile payment service in Spain.
This action positions Lidl as the first supermarket chain, ahead of Mercadona and Carrefour, to offer Bizum as a payment method in its stores.
As alternative to traditional credit cards, Lidl has included the payment by Bizum as an additional option along with Visa, Mastercard and Google Pay.
This is not the first time that the German chain has experimented with new forms of payment, since it also has the Aplázame service, which allows you to pay in installments.
From now on, this new payment option will be available in the Lidl online store. Customers interested in making their purchases and paying through Bizum will be able to do so no need to use a credit cardsimply by sending money from your mobile device.
The process, as explained by Lidl, is extremely simple. The customer selects the Bizum payment option, enters their phone number and validates the purchase using the password or SMS, depending on the specific operation of each bank. Buying at Lidl will be the same as making a Bizum for a friendbut in this case with the supermarket
