Kievitsbloem (Zwolse tulip) not chosen as National Flower

The Zwolse tulip, also known as kievitsbloem, has not been chosen as the National Flower of the Netherlands. This was announced this morning in the BNNVARA program Early Birds. Ecologist Jeroen Bredenbeek is disappointed: “Would have been a nice boost.”
