George Lucas first saw the live-action version of Ahsoka, played by Rosario Dawson, while filming an episode of Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian.
Although currently the heads of Star Wars are Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, George Lucas was the man who originated one of the most exploited universes on Disney Plus today, and who began to demonstrate his true potential with The Mandalorian series, which will soon be followed by Ahsoka.
But let’s go back to the beginning, to the first day, during the filming of The Mandalorian, in which George Lucas appeared on the set and met the next big star of Star Wars. Jon Favreau fondly remembers the day he George Lucas stepped on the set of The Mandalorian for the first time, and collaborated with Dave Filonias both are the original creators of Ahsoka.

George Lucas doesn’t usually visit Star Wars sets, but he had to be there for Star Wars’ first appearance. Ahsokaa very emotional moment for the whole team, but especially for Rosario Dawson.
Ahsoka’s actress remembers how “special” it was to really have George Lucas during the filming of The Mandalorian Disney Plus: “It was very nice, in this birth of Ahsoka in live action on screen, to have my two creators there. There was a really exciting energy to it all, and George sprinkling his magic dust over it. seemed to give us his validation and approval“.
