TEL AVIV – Prime Minister Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu promised to fully investigate the shooting that led to the death of three Israeli soldiers by police Egypt . He said this while conveying his condolences to the family.
“The deadly incident on the borders of Egypt during Shabbat was grave and abnormal and will be thoroughly investigated,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
Together with all the people of Israel, I share the grief of the family,” he continued.
“I want to commend our troops who are fighting to contact and kill terrorists,” he said again as quoted by the Times of Israel, Sunday (4/6/2023).
Condolences also came from Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
“There are no words to describe the pain and loss,” he said.
“We will retain the memory of them and continue to defend our borders with teeth.”
As previously reported, three Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were shot dead by Egyptian police officers in two separate shooting incidents on the border of the two countries, Saturday (6/3/2023).
Initially, two Zionist soldiers were killed in the incident Saturday morning. Hours later, the third Zionist soldier was killed in a similar incident.
