That being said, he also talked about the new version of iOS, which won’t be coming to some very popular iPhone models.
Apple confirmed that iOS 7 is on the way only for iPhone models that have the A12 Bionic chip or better. In other words, the operating system will not arrive iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X or any model before this.
However, it is worth mentioning that users of iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the second generation of iPhone SE will have access to some features of iOS 17. Among them are the StandBy screen, better autocorrect and transcriptions of voice notes.

But what about iPad? The following models will be compatible with iOS 17:
iPad (6th generation and later) iPad mini (5th generation and later) iPad Air (3rd generation and later) iPad Pro 12.9′ (2nd generation and later) iPad Pro 10.5′ iPad Pro 11′ (1st generation and later)
iOS 17 will arrive sometime in the fall.
