You will no longer have an excuse to find that email in your saturated Gmail account.
Surely you have found yourself in a situation, in which you have accessed Gmail on your mobile trying to find that email with the summer photos, but it has been impossible to find it among so many emails.
Maybe you tried lots of search terms and also filters in Gmailbut you couldn’t find those photos that you want to keep so much, and now Google wants to help you with that thanks to the latest update that the Gmail application has received on mobile devices.
Google just announced that the Gmail app will display a new “top results” section that shows the most relevant emails related to your search term.
This result is based on a machine learning model to get exactly what you are looking for, improving the current search.
This section will thus show the most exact results related to your search terms. It seems that it will follow a number of factors such as the specific search term, the emails recent and any information provided by the user.
If you are not satisfied with the results in the new “main results” section, just below them you will find the “all results” section, which is basically the same as it is now, giving you a compendium of emails that are related to this search term you entered.
That way, if you can’t find what you’re looking for in the new “top results” section, you can always scroll down to the “all results” section.
A staggered update
“This much-requested feature brings you the most relevant information first, allowing you to find specific emails or files faster and easier,” Google said in the statement.
Obviously this function complements very well with the existing search filters that you have in Gmail.
This new functionality will be available to all Workspace customers and anyone with a personal Google account starting June 2, with a rolling rollout that could take up to 15 days.
