Suara.com – The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared a traffic engineering (traffic) scenario for the Formula E event at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta Saturday-Sunday (June 3-4).
Organizers of the previous event claimed that 40,000 tickets had been sold out.
“There are three categories to indicate traffic density,” said Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director Kombes Pol Latif Usman according to a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday.
Latif explained, firstly, traffic is categorized as green if vehicles are still accommodated in parking pockets in Ancol. In addition, traffic circulation both inside and outside Ancol is running normally.
Meanwhile, traffic flow is categorized as yellow if the parking pockets in the Ancol area are full. Then, part of the road in Ancol has been used as a parking location. Then, the queues piled up at the entrance to the Ancol area, a radius of 100-500 meters.
“For the yellow category, traffic is diverted at every entrance to Ancol, Hailay Bridge, Bintang Mas traffic lights, Pasir Putih traffic lights and the PLTU Bridge towards the Carnival gate,” said Latif.
Then parking is directed to the reserve parking pocket, which is around Kemayoran. Third, from the direction of the toll road: the West Ancol exit is closed and diverted towards Kemayoran.
“Meanwhile, traffic flow is categorized as red when the parking pockets in the Ancol area are full. Then, some roads in the area have been used as parking locations,” said Latif.
Then, the queues piled up at the entrance to the Ancol area. Furthermore, the reserve parking bag outside the Ancol area is full. Next, the roads around the Ancol area (Lodan Raya, RE Martadinata) are already jammed.
“Traffic circulation does not move within a 1 kilometer radius of congestion,” said Latif.
Latif said that his party would also pay attention to the diversion of traffic flow at every entrance to Ancol, Parangtritis intersection, Hailay Bridge, Bintang Mas traffic light, Mangga Dua traffic light, Pasir Putih traffic light, Goyang Bridge, and the PLTU Bridge towards the Carnival Door. .
Second, from the direction of Penjaringan: divert at the Parangtritis intersection, turn right back to Penjaringan or Kampung Bandan in the direction of Tamansari.

Third, from the direction of Gunung Sahari: divert to the left onto Jalan Mangga Dua Raya to Central Jakarta.
Fourth, from the direction of Kemayoran: turn around at the Kemayoran roundabout or enter the Kemayoran toll road or go to Kampung Pademangan Timur.
Fifth, from the toll road: the West Ancol exit is closed and the East Ancol exit is closed.
Latif said that a traffic diversion had also been prepared if a situation categorized as red occurred on the toll road.
First, exit West Ancol, exit Kemayoran and exit East Ancol from the direction. Second, from the airport: directed to exit the Tanjung Priok Highway, – Jalan Yos Sudarso, Jalan Enggano – RE Martadinata or post 6 turn around and enter at the Tanjung Priok 2 Toll Gate or turn around in front of the Police Headquarters then enter through the Kebon Bawang toll gate.
Third, from the direction of Cawang/Tanjung Priok: directed to exit the Gedongsongo Toll Road then to Lodan Raya again.
