Good news for all of you who enjoy side-scrolling games, especially for those who have tried Forgotton Anne, as a new game has just been announced from the same studio that looks amazing.
An epic story is about to begin
As you surely remember, it was in 2018 when the developer ThroughLine Games made the community fall in love with Forgotton Anne. 5 years have passed since then and the time has come for them to present their new project.
Thanks to this, it has just been confirmed that his new game is Forgotlings, which will arrive next year on consoles and PC to offer a side-scrolling action experience set in a magical land.
Here you can see its trailer:
“We hope Forgotlings resonates with gamers in today’s world, providing an imaginative lens through which existential threats can be viewed,” ThroughLine Games CEO and Creative Director Alfred Nguyen said in a press release.
As you could see, this proposal invites players to enter a new world with Fig, a doll that will have the mission of uniting different tribes to face an enigmatic beast that was prophesied to plunge the world into darkness.

Because of this, you’ll need to save each area from pesky bandits and other creatures with mechanics that combine hack-and-slash combat with stealth strategy, all set in a semi-open 2.5D world metroidvania that it looks beautiful.
Forgotlings will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on a TBC in 2024.
