BEIJING – A 13 year old girl in China have the heart to drain their parents’ savings without their knowledge just to game mobile . He spent around USD 64,000 or around IDR 952.5 million.
According to Elephant News, a regional TV channel in Henan province, the girl’s parents, Gong Yiwang, only found out about their son’s shopping spree at the end of May. It was then that he received a call from a teacher at his daughter’s boarding school who was concerned that the boy was addicted to paid games.
When Gong checked his bank account, he realized he only had seven cents left!
He later found that from January to May, his daughter had spent around $16,800 on game accounts and nearly $30,000 on in-game purchases. The girl also transferred money to at least 10 classmates who wanted to buy game products for themselves, bringing the total cost of the child’s party over the months to about $64,000.
“I never thought a 13-year-old girl could do this,” Gong told Elephant News, quoted from Insider, Thursday (8/6/2023).
“I was dazed; my head felt like it was going to explode,” he added.
Crying as she spoke, Gong’s daughter told Elephant News she had linked her mother’s debit card to her mobile but had no idea where the money had come from or how much she had spent. He said he remembered his mother telling him his account password from a previous occasion when he asked to buy something else.
He said his schoolmates noticed his shopping abilities and harassed him for money.
“If I don’t send it to them, they will harass me all day. If I tell the teacher, I’m afraid the teacher will tell my parents and my parents will be angry,” he told Elephant News.
