SEMARANG VOICE – The Central Java Development Unity Party (PPP) compared Sandiaga Uno with the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.
Sandiaga Uno was assessed by PPP Central Java as the right partner to accompany Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.
Deputy Chairman of the PPP Sharia Council Kiai Haji Haris Shodaqoh said the reason was that the pair would complement each other. Ganjar Pranowo is more nationalist and Sandiaga Uno represents religious.
“Pak Sandiaga is very compatible with Pak Ganjar. It turned out that I was also a bit surprised, his religion was not just religious,” said the cleric who is also the caretaker of the Al-Itqon Islamic Boarding School.

Sandiaga Uno, who was present at the Al-Itqon Islamic Boarding School, also gave his response.
Sandiaga Uno, who is also the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, admits that he has the same thoughts as PPP Central Java.
However, all decisions are in the hands of PPP Chairman Mardiono. Whether he will be paired or not is the party leadership’s authority.
“That is the realm of the party chairman, but of course I will continue to contribute to being in the midst of society. What is the struggle must be close to the community, unite with the community, and present solutions for the community,” he said.
Regarding Sandiaga Uno’s closeness to PPP, he acknowledged it. In fact, he also said that he had undergone “aspect” in the party bearing the Kaaba.

“Based on the direction of the PPP leadership, I have to go through several ospect (hazing) processes. This includes the ospek which is almost over and it is already on its way to graduation, God willing, it will pass,” he said.
Deputy Chairman of the PPP Fraction of the Central Java Provincial DPRD, Muhamad Ngainirrichadl, added that his party appreciated Sandiaga Uno’s presence at the Al-Itqon Islamic Boarding School. He also supports the position of the PPP Sharia Council in presenting a religious figure in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
“Pak Sandiaga’s presence specifically also emphasized that he, God willing, has committed, believed, determined to strengthen and grow PPP,” he said. ***
