To everyone’s surprise, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was in charge of closing the Summer Game Fest 2023 with a spectacular trailer that pointed to a launch at the beginning of the year 2024. One of the aspects revealed in the video was to see Clud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Yuffie and RED XIII as playable characters, the latter being one of the most requested after his appearance in the last bars of Final Fantasy VII Remake was quite limited. Now, a rumor points to an additional playable character.
As Gamingbolt collects, the leaker Im A Hero Too, who revealed the official name of Persona 3 Reload before its leak, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released in January 2024 with Zack as a playable character “for a large part” of the game. In fact, he explains that what has been shown so far is “the smallest part of the game” since it has a “huge” scale and, as expected, players must “say goodbye to the original story completely”.
Apparently with Sephiroth, the story of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be very different from the part that would correspond to it in relation to the original game. Now, the leaker calculates that around 50% of the plot has a new direction “not as meta as the Remake”. Regarding the game world, despite having been shown with large open spaces, these will be “smaller” than those of Final Fantasy XVI. On the other hand, the battle system remains “still sublime”.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, exclusive to PS5
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth It will be released only on PS5, while the rumors about Final Fantasy X Remake are underscored by the leaker who has closed his Resetera account, possibly for keeping his identity a secret. Of course, all this information comes from a reliable source and would fit with what you can expect from the game.
