Is my partner making out with someone else, or is it a deepfake? Help the contestants guess it on the new Netflix reality show.
Many people fled free-to-air television and signed up for a pay platform so they never have to find themselves with a reality show or abusive ads… but here we are. Ads and reality shows in Netflix, just like in the old days… and in our worst nightmares. The last one is called Fake loveand it is a reality español where the novelty is in the deepfakes.
To give you a quick idea, False Love is like the Island of Temptations, but they change the faces of the contestants with deepfakes in the sex and cuckold scenes, to increase the morbidity and mess things up even more. You can watch the trailer in the opening video.
The host of this Netflix reality “tech experiment” is Raquel Sanchez Silva.
Is my partner making out with someone else, or is it a deepfake?
In Falso Amor five couples will put their relationships and trust to the testwith a prize of 100,000 euros at stake.
The faces and bodies of the participants have been 3D scans, to be able to put them on others in the most risqué scenes, and arouse jealousy and anguish in their partners, and morbidity in the spectators. They will have to guess if the horns are real, or a deepfake.
“At Netflix, we continue to bet on reality shows and on bringing innovation in Spanish formats to the whole world. In Falso Amor, we put the deepfake at the service of entertainment to change the rules of the game and turn a couples contest into a dilemma that the viewer will also face”, explains Álvaro Díaz, Director of Non-Fiction, Documentary Series and Entertainment Programs from Netflix in Spain.
The series is produced by Cuarzo Ediciones, the same producer of the island of temptationsso they dominate the genre.
False Love opens on July 6, and the grand finale will be on July 13. Content for all tastes in Netflixto try to recover the clients who left after the end of the shared accounts.
