Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have made peace and a solo film by Luke Hobbs, the character of The Rock, is confirmed as a bridge to Fast X Part 2.
The family reunion is now complete: Dwayne Johnson confirms his return to the franchise Fast & Furiousand not only as a guest in the supposedly final installment, Fast & Furious 11 (also called FastX: Part II), but with an independent film.
The medium The Wrap has advanced the information that The Rock has later shared on Twitter: Dwayne Johnson will star in an independent film for his character, Hobbs.
This movie will not be a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw, the 2019 spin-off with Jason Statham, but an intermediate chapter between Fast X and Fast X Part 2.
What’s more, Johnson confirms that he has already made peace with Vin Dieselwhich led to the cameo at the end of Fast & Furious Xand says that taking care of the public is his lodestar.
The end of Fast & Furious will be a trilogy, with the Hobbs movie in between
This movie will be a direct continuation of Fast & Furious 10, which ended with a huge cliffhanger, but it will focus on Luke Hobbsthe character of The Rock that appeared in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth, but then disappeared from the plot.
The reason is the well-known “cockfight” between Vin Diesel and Johnson, a discussion between the two actors (Vin Diesel is also a producer of the saga) that is now past water.
On Twitter, Diesel says that they have already made amends. “Last summer Vin and I put all of the past behind us. We will lead with brotherhood and resolve, and will always take care of the franchise, the characters and the FANS we love.”
So finally it does seem that the end of the saga will be a trilogy, with this chapter of Hobbswritten by Chris Morgan, regular screenwriter of the saga, which will help to further stretch the bubble gum for at least five or six more years (it will come out before Fast & Furious 11, which they officially call Fast X: Parte 2).
more important for Dwayne Johnson, the actor leaves behind the brawls of a few months ago, after his failed “coup” in the DC universe that ended with the almost final farewell of his character, Black Adam, after the failure of his film. He now he’s back to his highest grossing franchise, Fast & Furious.
