(Not) Only in the Champions League. Only the great European nights are capable of giving certain emotions, certain plays and certain symbolic images. But there are also matches that remain in history in their own way even if played in less noble competitions. This is the case of Manchester City’s first (and so far only) European victory: the 1969/70 Cup Winners’ Cup, in the final against the Polish side Gornik Zabrze. A game that allows the Citizens to become the first English club to win a national and an international trophy in the same year.
