On the occasion of the upcoming release of Diablo 4, Blizzard has held a small presentation in Madridwhere it has been possible to test the game in its Xbox Series X | S version and see first-hand some new details of the creative process.
That has been the case of John Mueller, the art director of Diablo IV, who has explained what was sought with the art of the game and the creative process behind it. the iconic piece of art known as The Garden of Hellwhich has clear references to the work of El Bosco.
In fact, the painting The Garden of Earthly Delights has been one of the pieces that has most influenced the artistic design of Diablo 4, and it is something that you can hear, below these lines, from the art director himself.
For those who don’t know, The Garden of Earthly Delights is one of the most famous and most visited works of art in the Prado Museum in Madrid, a triptych of El Bosco whose panels show a series of fantastic, highly detailed visions of how the artist imagined that it would be heaven, earth and hell.
With that spirit of representing the eternal struggle between good and evilDiablo 4 has reinterpreted this work of art in the Garden of Hellwhich is the piece that has been shown to the press today, and on which the presentation has revolved.
Best of all is that, Between June 3 and 11, anyone passing through Madrid can visit the Diablo 4 Hell’s Garden exhibitionin which it is also possible to see other pieces of art from the game (or at least that is how it was arranged today, at the entrance to the premises).
If you are interested in attending, you just have to visit Phygital Gallery, at Calle Doctor Fourquet 29 in Madrid. The only requirement to access is to be of legal age and present the DNI to gain access.
