The mill is not exactly in the same place as it was then. The ring road around Delden has been located at the former location – a few hundred meters away – for years now. The land for the new mill, high on a Twente es, has been made available by the Twickel Foundation. It is an octagonal windmill that will soon be able to grind grain again. “We want to restore the mill to its former glory, complete the landscape and give tourism a boost,” says chairman Jan Bouke Zijlstra of the Eschmolen Delden Foundation.
