Born in 1984, Great Wall Motor is a company that produces cars under various brands and last year it collected almost 20 billion with the trade of its products all over the world. Also in 2022, word reached of the intention to enter the world of two wheels, creating a dedicated area in its factory from which the first motorcycle was born.
It is a large cruiser built, according to the photos, on the basis of the Honda Goldwign.
In fact, the whole thing is supported by the same readapted aluminum bridge frame, while the engine unit has instead been taken and enlarged by adding two cylinders, maintaining a bore stroke of 73 x 73, thus arriving at a displacement of 2,444 cc and 32 valves. As far as power and torque are concerned, if these increased proportionally to the engine capacity, values such as 168 CV by 226 Nm!
The parallels with Honda’s maxi also refer to the complex double wishbone front wheel suspension system.
However, the line of this Chinese maxi is more of a cruiser, with an orientation less aimed at tourism. In fact, the saddle is short, designed more for use alone than in pairs and the rear case with backrest is missing.
At the moment it is only a prototype, so we will see what happens in the coming months.
